When the University of Huddersfield was ready to pilot a new Global Professional Award, designed to help prepare students for the world of work, they turned to RED for help. They needed a powerful and engaging way to capture students’ imagination and interest in the Award – future funding would depend on the pilot’s success.
We brought the Award journey to life with a big picture learning map, helping students to visualise what lay ahead and to understand the support available to them along the way. The map featured learning zones and prompt points for facilitated discussions. It encouraged students to think about their future, demonstrating how the award would help them on their path to success.
More than 430 students took part in the pilot: 80 per cent enjoyed the interactive session and 89 per cent said it helped them know where to go for support.
Based on its huge success, the Award will be rolled out to 7,000 students a year, rising to 21,000 once years 2 and 3 are developed.
