Recently our team here at RED was bowled over by the brilliant ‘away day’ we had.
Because we know how important communication and teamwork are within any company, we love spending time doing team-building activities when we’re not busy in the office.
The morning began with our annual off-site meeting where some great discussions took place on how we can improve our service offering to client companies and what we already loved about RED. Unanimously, we discovered that our strong work ethic and sense of fun proved popular amongst the team, especially with our newest employees, Dave and Amy, who joined us in September. Our discussions also focused on how we can continue providing an award-winning service and creativity to our existing, and prospective, clients in the months to come, and the ways in which we can keep evolving within the industry.
Then, because we recognise that the key to IC is a happy and connected workforce, we celebrated our year’s achievements with some afternoon bowling. A whole array of skills were demonstrated, with Dave’s endless strikes, Linda’s ability to throw the ball backwards and Gary’s perfectly styled-out falls. Despite some very impressive (and some not so impressive) final scores, the outright winner was Dave, our new Account Manager, who was awarded the first place prize.
But, the real winner of the day was the whole team because it brought us together on both a professional and personal level, ensuring we are a tight-knit, agile team prepared to support our clients in creating a similarly effective workplace.
